Former OF Carlos Lee retires
Former All-Star outfielder Carlos Lee has retired from baseball, ending a 14-year career in the major leagues.
Lee announced the decision on Thursday, his 37th birthday.
According to The Associated Press, Lee was looking for a two-year offer but failed to receive one, leading to his decision to call it quits.
Lee began his major league career in 1999 for the Chicago White Sox, and also played for the Houston Astros, Milwaukee Brewers, Texas Rangers and Miami Marlins.
