Alex Cobb to make rehab start

Tampa Bay Rays right-hander Alex Cobb, who was struck in the head by a line drive in June, will make his first minor league rehab start on Tuesday.

Cobb will pitch for the Class A Charlotte Stone Crabs.  He threw 59 pitches Thursday in a simulated game at the Rays' spring training complex.

"It went well," Cobb said. "It was nice to get out there and see competition again."
