Carlos Quentin (strained knee) on DL
CINCINNATI -- The Padres put outfielder Carlos Quentin on the 15-day disabled list with a strained knee before the second game of their series against the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday night.
It's the second significant setback to San Diego's lineup this week. All-Star shortstop Everth Cabrera was suspended for 50 games for taking a banned substance. The switch-hitting leadoff hitter leads the NL with 37 steals.
