Braves VP Wren in the running for Reds GM job

CINCINNATI -- Atlanta Braves vice president Frank Wren has
been added to the list of candidates for the Cincinnati Reds'
general manager job.

The Reds have eight candidates for the job that opened when new
owner Bob Castellini fired Dan O'Brien last week. Interviews began
this week.

Four in-house candidates are on the list: Brad Kullman, serving
as the Reds' general manager during the search; special assistant
Leland Maddox; international scouting director Johnny Almaraz; and
special adviser Jim Beattie.

Philadelphia Phillies assistant general manager Mike Arbuckle,
Minnesota Twins assistant Wayne Krivsky and St. Louis Cardinals
assistant John Mozeliak also are candidates.
