Rangers reach agreements with RHP Myette, IF Lamb
ARLINGTON, Texas (Ticker) -- The Texas Rangers on Wednesday
agreed to terms with pitcher Aaron Myette and infielder Mike
Lamb on one-year contracts.
Myette was 4-5 with a 7.14 ERA in 19 games, including 15 starts,
with Texas and 4-3 with a 3.73 ERA in 12 starts with Oklahoma of
the Pacific Coast League (AAA) last season.
Lamb batted .306 with four homers and 35 RBI in 76 games with
Texas and .297 with eight homers and 40 RBI in 69 games at
Oklahoma last season.
Texas also reached agreements with infielder Jason Hart and
outfielder Jason Romano.
Acquired from Oakland in January, Hart batted .247 with 19
homers and 75 RBI in 134 games at Sacramento. Romano hit .242
with one homer and 19 RBI in 46 games at Tulsa and hit .315 with
four homers and 13 RBI in 41 games at Oklahoma.
