Jimmy Rollins, Phillies

Signed through 2014; vesting option in 2015

Philadelphia was 65-97 and finished last in the National League East in 2000. Then Jimmy Rollins arrived as the full-time starter at shortstop. Since then, the Phillies have won five division titles and made two World Series appearances, winning one. They've never finished worst than third in the NL East and had only one losing season (80-81 in 2002) during the Rollins era. He was the NL MVP in 2007 and has led the league in triples four times. Any wonder he's the identity of the Phillies?
