Derek Jeter

Signed through 2013; player option in 2014

Start talking about the greatest Yankees of all time, and just try to leave Derek Jeter's name out of the discussion. It can't be done. He has been the glue through 17 years of Yankee glory on his way to certain induction into the Hall of Fame. That is, he'll make it to Cooperstown if he ever slows down and retires, and there aren't any signs of that happening yet. At the age of 38 in 2012, he led the American League in hits (216), with a .316 batting average.
