Lind Hr Wins It For Jays, As He Again Fights Back From 0-2 Count
From Elias: Adam Lind broke a 2-2 tie with a leadoff homer off Junichi Tazawa in the top of the ninth, sending the Blue Jays out of Fenway with a 3-2 Saturday afternoon victory. Lind, who hit 84 home runs over the three seasons from 2009 to 2011, didn't hit his first homer of this season until his 58th at-bat, when he connected off Roberto Hernandez of the Rays at St. Petersburg on Tuesday night. Oddly, Lind followed exactly the same pitch sequence against Tazawa as he had against Hernandez, falling behind 0-2 in the count, taking two called balls, fouling one off, and then sending the next pitch over the fence. In addition, Lind hadn't homered in his last 132 at-bats against the Red Sox, since he took Daisuke Matsuzaka deep on Aug. 10, 2010.
