Gordon Slams The Orioles
From Elias: Alex Gordon hit the first grand slam of his major-league career to cap the Royals' five-run 10th inning against the Tigers in Detroit. It was the first extra-inning home run with the bases loaded by a Kansas City player since Aug. 14, 1991, when Danny Tartabull hit one in the 11th inning of a game at Yankee Stadium. The two previous extra-inning grand slams in the majors this season were walkoff blasts by the Orioles' Matt Wieters (April 18) and the Mets' Jordany Valdespin (Wednesday).
