FANTASY BASEBALL
{"playerId":1668,"percentChange":-17.7,"averageDraftPosition":110.2,"percentOwned":67,"playerRaterSEASON":-2,"playerRater7DAY":0.8,"mostRecentNews":{"news":"Morrow gave up three runs on six hits and three walks while striking out seven in five innings Tuesday against the Red Sox.","spin":"It's been a rough start to the season for Morrow, and one factor that's made it difficult for him to be effective from a fantasy perspective is the fact that he has pitched past the sixth inning just once in six starts. His next outing will be against a much less threatening Mariners offense Sunday in Toronto.","date":"Tue Apr 30"},"fullName":"Brandon Morrow","seasonOutlook":{"outlook":"Morrow was on his way to ranking among one of 2012's biggest breakouts -- and perhaps some Cy Young votes -- before an oblique injury cost him more than two months of action. Following his return, he wasn't quite as good a pitcher, his strikeout-to-walk ratio was 2.41 in eight starts, down from 2.79 in 13 before his DL stint. Still, Morrow proved that the advances he made were no fluke. He added a splitter and kept the ball down in the zone more often overall, his ground-ball rate soared nearly 5 percent (36.9 to 41.4), and he stepped up his game while working from the stretch, affording sparkling .202/.296/.282 rates with men on. This is not the high-walk, high-strikeout, low-innings-per-start pitcher we saw during his first five big-league campaigns, but rather a more complete pitcher on the rise. Health is entirely the question, as he has made three trips to the DL in the past four seasons, but with some luck in that department his fantasy potential could soar.","seasonId":2013,"date":"Wed Feb 20"},"playerRater30DAY":-2.1,"playerRater15DAY":-1.5,"positionRank":155}
