Last season alone, he allowed opposing hitters mere .217/.292/.340 rates with the bases empty, but .267/.346/.466 rates with men on base, meaning perhaps his stuff suffers when he's pitching out of the stretch rather than in the windup. In other words, Morrow's ERA might always be a weakness, so prepare accordingly, but as a strikeout artist he rivals the best, at least on a per-inning basis.
