An Ugly Pitching Line, But It's A Win For Brandon Morrow
Brandon Morrow wasn't particularly effective in his start against the Orioles in Toronto, allowing six runs and three home runs, but he picked up a victory thanks to the 12 runs that his Blue Jays teammates produced off of four Baltimore pitchers. It was only the fifth time in Blue Jays history that one of their pitchers won a game in which they gave up at least six runs and three home runs. The other Toronto pitchers with wins of that variety were Jim Clancy (1986), Dave Stewart (1993), David Wells (1999) and Cory Lidle (2003). The only other major-league pitcher to win a game in that fashion over the last two seasons is Matt Cain (May 16 this year at Colorado).
