His contact rate and live-drive percentage have remained stable the past four years, but for some reason Suzuki has averaged .239 the past two seasons as compared to .276 in 2008-09. BABIP is the culprit, but as stated it is not a result of a low line-drive rate, but more so due to a much lower than average BABIP on fly balls. There really is not enough data on the subject to flat-out predict a correction, but it seems intuitive that there is something funny going on there. Suzuki still plays enough and hits with just enough power to be a top-10 catcher, but with some of the up-and-coming prospects at the position, he may be relegated to backup fantasy duty sooner rather than later.","seasonId":2012,"date":"Wed Feb 15"},"playerRater30DAY":-2.4,"playerRater15DAY":-1.9,"positionRank":40}
