Ruggiano quickly carved out a regular role shifting between all three outfield spots, performing slightly above his Triple-A rates and putting himself at the head of the center-field competition for 2013. He is a free swinger who as a regular might be prone to slumps and whose .313 batting average last year isn't realistic (it was driven by a .401 BA on balls in play).
