A Night For Solo Homers In Toronto
From Elias: Nolan Reimold's third hit of the game was a ninth-inning home run that concluded the scoring in the Orioles' 7-5 triumph at Toronto. Reimold's homer was the seventh in the game, and all seven were solo shots. The last big-league game with seven-or-more homers, all with the bases empty, was on July 20, 2010: the Orioles also won that game, beating Tampa Bay 11-10, in Baltimore. (We also note that it was in an Orioles-Blue Jays game at Toronto in 1987 that the Jays set the still-standing major-league record of 10 home runs in one game.)
