Well, Pennington healed faster and held onto his job, and when Rosales finally came back in June, he struggled, was sent down to Triple-A Sacramento in July then was called up in September, when he unfortunately picked up where he left off, ending the season hitting a tiny .098 in 61 at-bats. Rosales enters 2012 in a battle with Eric Sogard for the utility infielder role.
