Rosales's start at first means this is likely an off day for Daric Barton.","date":"Thu May 17"},"fullName":"Adam Rosales","seasonOutlook":{"outlook":"Following a 2010 campaign in which Rosales hit .271 with seven homers in 255 at-bats for Oakland after coming over from Cincinnati in the offseason, it was thought last spring he may challenge Cliff Pennington for playing time, especially when they were both a bit nicked up. Well, Pennington healed faster and held onto his job, and when Rosales finally came back in June, he struggled, was sent down to Triple-A Sacramento in July then was called up in September, when he unfortunately picked up where he left off, ending the season hitting a tiny .098 in 61 at-bats. Rosales enters 2012 in a battle with Eric Sogard for the utility infielder role. He is obviously better than his putrid showing last season but still is not worth drafting until it is a sure thing he makes the team, and even then strictly as a speculative reserve in AL-only leagues.","seasonId":2012,"date":"Wed Feb 15"},"playerRater30DAY":-3.9,"playerRater15DAY":-3.7,"positionRank":48}
