A player with a reputation for being speedy, he swiped just 12 bags on a career-low 17 attempts, giving him three consecutive seasons having fallen short of 15 steals. Fowler's hitting prowess, to a degree, is legit: His 12.8 percent walk rate ranked 10th and he had balanced lefty/righty splits. At the same time, he had the majors' highest BABIP (.390), and as with many Rockies hitters, he had a steep home/road split (.984 OPS at Coors, .720 on the road). The danger with Fowler is assuming he's destined for more, because there is as much working against as for him. He is also a weaker choice in points-based leagues than you'd expect, because he has yet to lock down everyday at-bats or the top-of-the-lineup role. Fowler is a midrounder for sure, but is a repeat -- or slightly short -- of his 2012 in order?
