By the All-Star break, he was a mainstay in the Orioles' starting five -- and he'll presumably kick off 2013 as the same -- as he had nine quality starts, a 3.53 ERA and 1.23 WHIP in 14 second-half turns. Gonzalez's stuff isn't elite, he affords too much hard contact to take any major steps forward, and as a pitcher in perhaps the game's most hitting-rich division, he's a stronger bet to regress than progress in 2013.
