After bursting through with a 2.98 ERA and 32 saves in 2011, Walden lost his job last April after only two bad outings, only to languish in middle relief the remainder of the year. He was then shipped in the offseason to the Braves, in the Tommy Hanson deal, where he'll work his way back towards a prominent late-inning role. The Angels' concerns were valid; Walden's fastball velocity was in a three-year pattern of decline, and his 4.00 walks-per-nine innings ratio warranted worry from a closer. He's not promised anything, not even consistent opportunities for holds, but he's young and with the capability of turning his career around. NL-only owners can freely speculate, especially Craig Kimbrel owners seeking handcuffs.","seasonId":2013,"date":"Thu Feb 21"},"playerRater30DAY":-1.3,"playerRater15DAY":-3.9,"positionRank":150}
