Romero figures to continue starting with Buffalo, but at this point it's anyone's guess whether he'll help the Blue Jays this season.","date":"Thu May 9"},"fullName":"Ricky Romero","seasonOutlook":{"outlook":"Last season, Romero was a painful reminder of how volatile pitchers can be. After two straight seasons of a declining walk rate, Romero's BB/9 ballooned to 5.22 while his strikeout rate plummeted to a career low 6.2 mark. Not surprisingly, it was revealed after the season that Romero had pitched through some lingering injuries, including a quadriceps tightness for which he received platelet injections in both knees and a sore pitching elbow requiring arthroscopic surgery. As such, Romero is going to be on a lot of bounceback lists. However, it is important to note that even when healthy, Romero's strikeout rate was barely league average while his walk rate was worse than league average. Not to mention, his stellar 2.92 ERA in 2011 was buoyed by a low BABIP and high LOB%. In other words, while Romero is likely to bounce back, it is likely not going to be to the level some may anticipate.","seasonId":2013,"date":"Thu Feb 21"},"playerRater30DAY":-3.7,"playerRater15DAY":-4.3,"positionRank":199}
