His strikeout and walk rates between the majors and minors were spot-on, and his ground-ball rate actually increased, from 54.4 percent from 2009 to '11 to 59.6 percent in his six big-league starts in 2012. If there are any knocks on Anderson, they're that he's not much of a strikeout artist -- 6.89 K's per nine in his career -- and he has a checkered health history that, in addition to the elbow surgery, includes four DL stints for elbow problems as well as a strained oblique that prematurely ended his 2012 season. He might also face an innings cap, as many young pitchers fresh off the surgery do, having thrown only 60 1/3 innings combined between the majors and minors last season. Anderson is as boom/bust as pitchers come, but picks like these in the middle rounds often make a winning fantasy squad. Remember, he's still just 25 years old.
