Don't expect Wil Myers to star right away
Finally, the torment and distress of the blogging world will be put to rest: Wil Myers is heading to the big leagues. After hitting .314 with 37 home runs in the minors last year with Kansas City, many believed Tampa Bay's big offseason acquisition should have opened the season with the Rays.

Posey, With 2 Strikes, Delivers 3 Doubles
Buster Posey delivered three doubles, each coming with two strikes on him, in the Giants' 6-0 victory in Atlanta. He became the first Giants' player with three two-strike extra-base hits in a single game since Barry Bonds hit a two-strike double, triple and home run in a game against the Astros on June 16, 2000. In fact, it was the first time that Posey has produced three extra-base hits in a single major-league game; he's one of a handful of position-players who won an MVP Award before a three-extra-base-hit game, including, most recently, Justin Morneau, Ichiro Suzuki and Don Mattingly.

Posey Keeps Rolling Against The Rockies
From Elias: Buster Posey went 2-for-4 with an RBI as the Giants defeated the Rockies to keep pace with the Diamondbacks atop the N.L. West. Posey was 0-for-3 in the first game he ever played against Colorado (May 31, 2010), but he's reached base in each of the 45 games that he's started against them since then, with a .405 batting average, .484 on-base percentage and .607 slugging percentage in those games. The only major-leaguer with a longer current streak of reaching base in consecutive starts against one team than Posey has against Colorado is Joe Mauer, who has reached base via hit, walk or hit-by-pitch in the last 50 games he's started against the Royals.
