Murphy And Cruz Overthrow A King ... Again
From Elias: Derek Holland defeated Felix Hernandez as the Rangers downed the Mariners, 5-2. Hernandez's won-lost record against Texas fell to 12-18, as a pair of old nemeses did the King in one again. Nelson Cruz's fifth-inning home run was his fourth against the Seattle right-hander; only Mark Teixeira (five) and Nick Swisher (four) have hit as many. Earlier, David Murphy had reached Hernandez for a two-run double in the second inning, his 21st hit off the former Cy Young winner, third most by any opponent (Michael Young has 24, Torii Hunter, 23); and Murphy now has 13 RBIs against King Felix, while no other player has had more than 10.
