Fresh off Tommy John surgery, Zimmermann was limited to 161 1/3 frames last season, as the Nationals were meticulous with their management of his innings. What he gave the team, however, was outstanding: His 1.73 walks-per-nine ratio was a professional best and supported the notion that pitchers tend to recapture their command in their second year after returning from that surgery. Zimmermann is as sound a bet in WHIP as there is, and he won't cost you that early-round pick as some of the more accomplished pitchers might.
