His absence allows Oswaldo Arcia to cover right field and bat sixth in the order.","date":"Tue Jun 18"},"fullName":"Chris Parmelee","seasonOutlook":{"outlook":"The leading contender for the Twins' starting right-field vacancy, Parmelee should be more prepared for success this year than last, when he served as the team's Opening Day first baseman but quickly suffered a demotion to Triple-A after batting .179 in his first 27 games. Skipping that level was apparently a bad idea. He mastered it, however, with .338/.457/.645 rates in 64 games for Rochester thereafter and was a respectable .262/.300/.452 hitter in 24 games after getting another chance with the big club the final month of the year. He's a disciplined contact hitter who sprays line drives into the gaps, meaning that while his power potential is limited -- lefties often struggle in terms of home runs at Target Field -- he might be able to approach a .300 batting average soon. With a strong spring that lands him the gig, he'd be a sleeper in AL-only leagues.","seasonId":2013,"date":"Wed Feb 20"},"playerRater30DAY":-1.3,"playerRater15DAY":-4.2,"positionRank":38}
