Both seasons featured similar strikeout and walk rates -- the primary deviation in 2011 was a bloated home run rate because of an increase in FB%, as well as a sharp jump in HR/FB. More fly balls can be attributed to the pitcher, but a 13.3% HR/FB means Cecil pitched into some bad luck as well. Cecil should be given a chance to show last season was more fluke than fact, as he is ticketed to break camp in the rotation. While he has the potential to outpitch his draft spot, he also has the chance to get lit up in April and again be sent down to Triple-A to work out the kinks.","seasonId":2012,"date":"Wed Feb 15"}}
