Astros Narrowly Avoid Their First No-hitter In Houston
From Elias: Marwin Gonzalez singled up the middle with two outs in the ninth inning to spoil Yu Darvish's perfect-game bid in the Rangers' 7-0 win at Minute Maid Park. That hit kept intact the Astros' record of never having been no-hit in Houston. The Astros have been no-hit five times. Four of those were in road games; the other, although technically a home game, was played at Miller Park in Milwaukee due to the impact of Hurricane Ike. Carlos Zambrano of the Cubs threw a no-hitter in that game, played on September 14, 2008, one day after the hurricane made landfall over Galveston Island.
