MLB - Astros pitching note
Bud Norris allowed 6 earned runs while getting just two outs in Wednesday's start against Oakland. That's on the heels of Erik Bedard's outing Monday (6 ER, 1 out). It is just the third time in the Live-Ball Era that a team has had two such starts (less than 1 IP, 6+ ER allowed) in the same series. The Blue Jays did it against Milwaukee on April 9 and 11, 1982 (Mark Bomback and Jim Clancy respectively). And in 1931, the Cardinals' Burleigh Grimes did it in back-to-back starts (June 26 and 28) against Brooklyn.
