Such a combination keeps him from being an ERA/WHIP risk, making him a smart mid-rounder in rotisserie formats, and when he's \"on\" his numbers can rival those of the elite, best illustrated by the 1.79 ERA he posted in 11 games for the Tigers following his midseason trade in 2011. Frankly, Fister hasn't garnered the attention he deserves, his 30-41 career record belying his true talent.
