But May 10, unfortunately, was the day he injured his ankle in a collision with teammate David Wright, ending what seemed like a possible breakout season. Now Davis enters 2012 facing injury questions; though he avoided microfracture surgery, his constant setbacks during rehabilitation last season were a concern. He'll need to be monitored throughout the spring, but a healthy exhibition campaign could send him shooting up draft boards. After all, he's now 25, could quickly emerge as the Mets' cleanup hitter and he plays first base, which is a surprisingly shallow position in NL-only leagues.
