FANTASY BASEBALL
{"playerId":2929,"percentChange":0,"averageDraftPosition":260,"percentOwned":0,"mostRecentNews":{"news":"Mejia was promoted to Triple-A Buffalo on Saturday, according to the Mets' official Twitter page.","spin":"Mejia gave up five earned runs over eight innings in two rehab starts with Double-A Binghamton, but apparently the Mets are comfortable enough with his progress to advance him another level. Mejia, whose first start with Buffalo will come Wednesday, is close to being all the way back from the Tommy John procedure he underwent last May.","date":"Sat May 26"},"fullName":"Jenrry Mejia","seasonOutlook":{"outlook":"Mejia debuted at the tender age of 20 in 2010, flashing a glimpse of the stuff that had scouts enthusiastic about the youngster's future. Though he struggled with his control, walking 20 while only fanning 22 in his inaugural 39 innings, his 95 mph heater certainly grabbed some attention. There was some doubt as to whether he was better suited for starting or relief, but the Mets' brass decided Mejia deserved a chance to start, so he opened the 2011 campaign at Triple-A Buffalo, where he was off to a strong start with a 2,86 ERA and 1.07 WHIP. To be fair, his K/BB of 21/14 in 28 1/3 innings was nothing special. Unfortunately, his season was cut short, as he blew out his elbow and underwent Tommy John surgery in May. Because it happened so early in the season, Mejia should be able to take the mound sometime in the second half. While he is unlikely to contribute at the major league level, he makes for an interesting reserve stash, just in case, and is definitely someone to follow in keeper and dynasty formats.","seasonId":2012,"date":"Wed Feb 15"}}

Notebook: The offensive stars
NEW YORK -- Ike Davis doesn't want to make too much out of one at-bat, but the signs of improvement are starting to show for the Mets' struggling first baseman. Since the team announced it would not be demoting him to Triple-A Buffalo, Davis has recorded at least one RBI in each of the three games against San Diego, including a pinch-hit RBI double in Saturday's 9-0 win.
