As a rookie in 2011, he managed 21 homers and 17 stolen bases, numbers that only six other second basemen have achieved in the same year since 2000. But Espinosa's year was a tale of streaks; in three of the year's six months he had an OPS of .800 or better, but in the other three his OPS was beneath .700, meaning he was outstanding sometimes and unusable others, and it was often difficult to tell when a cold spell was coming. That Espinosa strikes out as often as he does -- his 25.2 percent rate was 10th highest -- and struggles as much as he does from the left side of the plate (.222/.312/.390 rates) are concerns, but at least his young age makes him worth chancing on in the later rounds of your draft.","seasonId":2012,"date":"Fri Feb 10"},"playerRater30DAY":3.7,"playerRater15DAY":6.8,"positionRank":17}
