Lawrie made a trip to the DL for a strained oblique muscle and batted .240/.304/.365 after the All-Star break, looking very much like a player in the midst of adjustments. Having not shown he has made them -- that 51.0 percent ground ball rate he had for the full season is one hint -- Lawrie shouldn't be termed a slam-dunk breakout candidate for 2013.
