Kimbrel Does It The Hard Way
From Elias: Craig Kimbrel nailed down the Braves' 6-3 win over the Nationals by retiring the only three batters he faced on a pair of groundouts and a pop out. It was only the second time since the 2011 All-Star break, and the first time in more than a year (since May 18, 2012), that Kimbrel retired the side in order in an inning without recording a strikeout.

Reds Homers Put Kimbrel's Anniversary Celebration On Ice
A funny thing happened to Craig Kimbrel en route to the 100th save of his career. On the third anniversary of his major-league debut, and one strike from his milestone save, Kimbrel allowed back-to-back home runs to Devin Mesoraco and Shin-Soo Choo and the Braves fell to the Reds, 5-4. Kimbrel, who allowed a home run to David Wright in a blown save on Friday, has now surrendered as many homers in the last five days as he did in each of his two previous seasons in the majors.

Kimbrel Blows Hudson's Potential 200th Win
From Elias: Coors Field remained a house of horrors for Tim Hudson, who watched Craig Kimbrel blow a two-run lead in the ninth inning, costing Hudson his 200th career victory. The Rockies won the game, 6-5 in 12 innings. Hudson has an 0-2 career record with a 7.41 ERA in six starts at Coors Field. Last season, Kimbrel pitched in 63 games for Atlanta and became only the fifth pitcher in modern major-league history to make 60 or more appearances in one season and not be charged with more than one run in any of them.
