He had been pretty consistent up until this start, so this should be considered a bump in the road for the Orioles' lefty. He will get a chance to bounce back against the Royals next Tuesday.","date":"Wed May 1"},"fullName":"Wei-Yin Chen","seasonOutlook":{"outlook":"In his inaugural season in the U.S., Chen hurled more innings than in any season in Japan. However, the workload may have taken its toll as Chen struggled late, posting an ERA/WHIP of 3.64/1.22 through July compared to 4.75/1.35 in August and September. Of course, a counter argument could be made that teams adjusted after seeing him a couple of times. From a skills standpoint, Chen's strikeouts and walks are a bit better than average, but as an extreme fly-ball pitcher, he surrenders a plethora of homers, especially at home. This reduces his value in mixed leagues since you don't gain the home-field edge, but he does make for a solid back-end mainstay in an AL-only rotation.","seasonId":2013,"date":"Wed Feb 20"},"playerRater30DAY":2.2,"playerRater15DAY":3,"positionRank":60}
