Dodgers still haven't won in Bronx since 1981

Rivera Just Barely Good Enough To Record Save
Mariano Rivera struck out Albert Pujols with the bases loaded as the Yankees narrowly avoided blowing a six-run ninth-inning lead in their 6-5 win at Anaheim. Rivera, who recorded just two outs but gave up three hits and a walk, is the first pitcher to earn a save despite pitching less than an inning and allowing at least four batters to reach safely since the Twins' Matt Capps (0.1 IP, 3 H, 1 BB) did it against the Rangers on September 5, 2010. Rivera had previously recorded one other similarly ugly save, against the Royals on August 20, 2003 (0.2 IP, 4 H).

Rivera won't reconsider retiring

Mariano Rivera is almost perfect as a reliever this season, with 19 saves and a 1.77 ERA, the sort of numbers that don’t square with the fact that he is 43 years old and announced his retirement back in March.
