The Yankees, presumably recalling his .322 batting average in 67 games following his July acquisition, re-upped him to a generous two-year, $13 million deal, but fantasy owners shouldn't necessarily follow suit. Drafting Ichiro in many ways is chasing volume; he routinely ranks among the majors' leaders in plate appearances, driving his counting stats, and much of the reason is his top-third-of-the-order lineup status, which he might well possess again in 2013. Now, Yankee Stadium did boost his power slightly, to the point where double-digit homers are possible, and Ichiro, while a step slower at age 39, still is capable of stealing as many as 30 bags. There's rotisserie-league value here.
