Though he is normally a good source of power, he hit just two home runs in May. However, he's pulled his batting average over .240 for the first time since April 17 and did lower his strikeout percentage this month. He remains a very low-end option at first base.","date":"Sat Jun 1"},"fullName":"Carlos Pena","seasonOutlook":{"outlook":"If you need power, it comes at a cost. Since 2010, Pena trails only Adam Dunn and Mark Reynolds in the percentage of plate appearances resulting in a walk, strikeout or home run. This combination has led to Pena failing to reach the Mendoza Line two of the past three seasons. Moving to the more neutral Minute Maid Park should help as his old digs, Tropicana Field, reduces hits by 10 percent. Still, Pena is much better suited for on-base percentage leagues or a points format, where his walks help mitigate his abundant whiffs.","seasonId":2013,"date":"Wed Feb 20"},"playerRater30DAY":0.5,"playerRater15DAY":-3.1,"positionRank":32}

Astros Top Brewers With Big Blasts
From Elias: Carlos Pena hit a three-run home run in the fifth inning and Matt Dominguez added a grand slam in the seventh as the Astros routed the Brewers, 10-1. It was the first time since 2007 that Houston hit a slam and a three-run homer in the same game, and it was only the second such game the Astros have posted at Minute Maid Park in 14 seasons there.
