Dickey Does It All
R.A. Dickey threw 8 1/3 scoreless innings and had the game-winning RBI when he drove in the Jays' first run with a double in the fifth inning. Only one other pitcher in Jays history had a game-winning RBI in a game in which he did not allow a run: Kelvim Escobar did it on June 8, 2003 at Cincinnati.

MLB - Dickey still prefers the NL
R.A. Dickey might be hoping he'll see more of the National League... Today's win improved his ERA to 3.43 against NL foes, more than a full run lower than his ERA against the American League. The Jays next NL team on the schedule is Colorado on June 17th.

Dickey Turns Leads Into Victories
After a 2-5 start, R.A. Dickey has posted consecutive wins as the Blue Jays figured out the formula: Give the reigning Cy Young Award winner a decent lead, and he will take it from there. Toronto staked Dickey to a 2-0 lead in the first inning on Monday, and despite a few missteps along the way the Jays posted a 7-5 victory over the Rays. Dickey has now won 24 consecutive games in which he was given a two-run cushion, dating back to August 2011. That's by far the longest such streak in the majors, more than double the length of the runner-up, Alexi Ogando (11).

Dickey Makes Early Lead Stand Up
From Elias: The Blue Jays scored six runs in the bottom of the first inning, and with R.A. Dickey on the mound for Toronto you could have turned off the TV at that point. The Jays cruised to a 10-6 win over the Giants. Dickey has won the last 24 games in which he was staked to a lead of four of more runs, and Dickey's teams have a 30-1 record when giving him a four-run cushion.
