But everything else in his profile was about as nightmarish as it was the year before. He whiffed 34.2 percent of the time (the second-highest single-season qualified rate in history), he couldn't consistently catch up with 93-plus mph fastballs (.183 average) and he batted .191 against left-handers. This encapsulates who Dunn is: He has walked, whiffed or homered in 50 percent of his career plate appearances, cementing his status as the greatest \"three true outcomes\" player in the game's annals. That means he's one of the most attractive power sources in the game, but one with perhaps the greatest value differential between leagues that value batting average versus on-base percentage.
