Manager Bruce Bochy has been platooning Torres and Blanco with the lead-off duties for the Giants since Angel Pagan hit the DL with a hamstring injury. Pagan is expected to return early next week, which will push Torres back into a bench role.","date":"Sat Jun 15"},"fullName":"Andres Torres","seasonOutlook":{"outlook":"After spending a season with the Mets, Torres returns to the Giants. A switch-hitter, Torres has more success facing lefties, and he could end up the right-handed portion of a platoon with the left-handed-hitting Gregor Blanco. With such a limited role, Torres offers little for mixed leagues as his power has fallen considerably since swatting a career-high 16 bombs in 2010. However, he makes for an interesting play in NL-only formats. Torres could happen upon more at-bats if Blanco struggles or if he or another teammate gets hurt.","seasonId":2013,"date":"Wed Feb 20"},"playerRater30DAY":1.1,"playerRater15DAY":1.7,"positionRank":92}
