Back problems contributed -- for the second consecutive season he dealt with them -- but in his defense he still has a filthy splitter and the ability to spot all his pitches with the consistency needed to be an asset in fantasy leagues. Haren's ceiling for 2013 is probably no longer within range of the pitcher we saw from 2007-11; it's more likely between that of his 2011 and 2012.
