He'll need to string together a few quality starts before fantasy owners will want to consider starting him on a regular basis.","date":"Mon Jun 17"},"fullName":"Dan Haren","seasonOutlook":{"outlook":"Perhaps the move back to the National League will do Haren some good, despite the fact that he actually has a higher career ERA against NL teams (3.82) than American League squads (3.55). His stuff has lost something over the years, and his command took a step backward last season, his 3.74 K's per walk considerably lower than the 4.68 he managed in 2007-11 combined. Back problems contributed -- for the second consecutive season he dealt with them -- but in his defense he still has a filthy splitter and the ability to spot all his pitches with the consistency needed to be an asset in fantasy leagues. Haren's ceiling for 2013 is probably no longer within range of the pitcher we saw from 2007-11; it's more likely between that of his 2011 and 2012. Still, considering how stable a base in the WHIP category that presents, Haren still belongs in the discussion in the middle rounds of any fantasy draft.","seasonId":2013,"date":"Wed Feb 20"},"playerRater30DAY":-1.8,"playerRater15DAY":-4,"positionRank":143}
