Nix Makes A Winner Of Halladay
Laynce Nix hit a tie-breaking, pinch-hit home run off Jon Rauch in the top of the ninth inning and Jonathan Papelbon made it stand up for Roy Halladay's 200th career victory as the Phillies topped the Marlins, 2-1. It was Nix's second career game-winning home run in the ninth inning or later, and both have come as a pinch-hitter. Nix hit an 11th-inning, pinch-hit walkoff homer for the Reds off of the Mets' Manny Acosta on May 3, 2010.
