However, he promptly allowed two doubles to begin the eighth, after which he was pulled following his 100th pitch of the evening. He then lost his first quality start in three appearances when the inherited runner crossed the plate just two at-bats later. In any case, his upcoming nod arrives early next week in Atlanta, where he holds a 2.66 ERA, 1.62 WHIP, and 14:10 K:BB ratio in 20.1 innings.","date":"Wed May 15"},"fullName":"Kevin Correia","seasonOutlook":{"outlook":"Correia is your run-of-the-mill innings-eater: He has totaled 113 starts and 668 innings the past four seasons combined, despite the fact that, out of the 100 pitchers to throw 500-plus frames during that time, his 4.51 ERA and 4.41 FIP rank 15th and 17th worst. He is the type of pitcher that hurting-for-starters teams sign to get them through a season, as the Twins did when they inked him for two years and $10 million, but scarcely a talent who warrants even matchups consideration in AL-only leagues. To that point, he had a 4.50 ERA against sub-.500 teams but 4.02 against those .500 or above. Correia can occasionally string together a few useful starts, but heck if we could predict when they'll come. Tread carefully.","seasonId":2013,"date":"Thu Feb 21"},"playerRater30DAY":1.9,"playerRater15DAY":-1.4,"positionRank":56}

Correia Begins Season With Five Straight Solid Starts
From Elias: Kevin Correia hurled eight shutout innings and earned the victory in the Twins' 5-0 win over the Rangers on Sunday afternoon. Correia has now pitched at least seven innings and allowed three or fewer runs in each of his five starts this season. Since the Twins moved to Minnesota in 1961, they have had only three other pitchers that have opened a season with five consecutive starts with at least seven innings pitched and three or fewer runs allowed: Jim Perry in 1965 (first five), Scott Erickson in 1991 (first seven) and Brad Radke in 2001 (first seven).
