The second was his leaving the San Diego Padres and spacious Petco Park to sign a three-year, $27 million deal with the Miami Marlins this winter. That contract should increase Bell's job security, which is a plus, but otherwise he's in danger of slipping out of the first and into the second tier of fantasy finishers. Left-handed hitters got to him more in 2011, batting .283/.354/.372 against him, and his curveball became a less effective pitch, his OPS on those rising by 354 points (.770-.416).
