Narrowing that to 2011, Street's Coors ERA was 5.59 and WHIP 1.41 in 32 games, significantly higher than his 2.15/1.02 road numbers in 30 games. There's a simple explanation: He's a fly ball pitcher, having posted a 45.2 percent fly ball rate from 2009 to 2011 combined, so his mistakes tend to haunt him more at Coors than anywhere else. Another benefit of the move to Petco Park: Left-handed hitters managed .284/.333/.477 rates against him and hit the ball on the ground just 28.8 percent of the time in 2011, so Petco's spacious right field should help minimize the damage.
