Though he managed career highs with 36 home runs and 108 RBIs in 2009, his numbers have steeply declined in each of the two seasons since, to the point where he was barely usable in any fantasy leagues in 2011. What's worse, when Hill tried to inject more patience into his game last year, his overall swing rate dropping by more than 4 percent (49.9-45.8 percent) and his chase rate on pitches outside the strike zone by 2 percent (28.3-26.3 percent), his results were disastrous. Perhaps a fresh start in Arizona, where he was traded last August, might help, but Hill's declining performance both as a hitter and a fielder won't afford him a team's patience if it continues.
