The Mets signed Marcum and are hoping for the former and, if healthy, he is capable of delivering. While you can't count on a full season from Marcum, after an offseason to further strengthen his elbow, his peripherals should be back to normal. There is nothing wrong with acquiring Marcum at an injury-discounted price, because when he's healthy, he's a fantasy asset.
