• The Rockies advance to their first-ever World Series, and become the second team to sweep the NLCS in its current format (the 1995 Braves were the first). The Rockies are also the first team to win its first seven games of a postseason since the 1976 Reds.

• Seth Smith had the go-ahead pinch-hit two-run double in a six-run fourth ining for the Rockies. He had no RBI during the regular season. He's now 7-for-12 in 2007, combining the regular season and postseason. The two RBIs are the first of Smith's major league career.

• Matt Holliday's three-run home run in the fourth inning gave the Rockies a 6-1 lead. He has a homer in two straight games and has four home runs in all this postseason.

• Kaz Matsui's RBI single in the fourth inning gave him eight RBIs this postseason. He also has a six-game postseason hitting streak.

• Conor Jackson's fielding error extended the fourth inning for the Rockies. He made 11 errors in the regular season. He also had the third-most errors among National League forst basemen, but had the lowest fielding percentage among first basemen in the entire major leagues.
