SAN FRANCISCO AT NY METS, POSTPONED (RAIN)

FLUSHING, New York (Ticker) -- The game between the San
Francisco Giants and New York Mets was postponed due to rain.

The game was rescheduled as part of a doubleheader on Saturday
beginning at 1:25 p.m. EDT.

In the first game, the Giants will send Matt Cain (3-5, 5.07
ERA) to the mound against Orlando Hernandez (3-4, 6.04). Jamey
Wright (5-4, 4.43) will face Tom Glavine (8-2, 2.59) in the
second game.

The unexpected off-day gives slugger Barry Bonds an extra day to
rest a knee injury. The second-leading home run hitter in
major league history, Bonds has missed San Francisco's last two
games and likely would not have played Friday due to soggy field
conditions.
