ANAHEIM AT KANSAS CITY, POSTPONED (RAIN)

KANSAS CITY, Missouri (Ticker) -- The game between the Kansas City Royals and Anaheim Angels was postponed due to rain. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Sunday at 2:05 p.m. EDT.

Anaheim's Scot Shields and Kansas City righthander Brad Voyles, who were scheduled to start Saturday's game, were pushed back to pitch the opener of the twinbill.

In the nightcap, John Lackey will pitch for the Angels against Royals lefthander Brian Anderson.

Despite dropping Friday's series opener, Kansas City has won five of its last seven games. It is tied with the Chicago White Sox for the first place in the American League Central Division.
