Ryan Howard had a tying, two-run double in the ninth against
Turnbow, who had converted 14 of his first 15 save chances. But the
Brewers answered quickly against Gordon (2-2).
Carlos Lee started the inning with a double to left and scored
on Fielder's liner off the right-field fence.

Turnbow (2-1) got the victory despite allowing two runs in his
only inning. Jose Capellan got two outs in the 10th before giving
way to Brian Shouse. With the bases loaded, Shouse retired Chris
Roberson on a routine fly for his second career save and first
since 2003 with Texas.
Chris Capuano tossed seven solid innings for Milwaukee, allowing
three runs and seven hits.

Pat Burrell hit a two-run homer for the struggling Phillies, who
are 2-8 after a 13-1 stretch.
"This is a test during the season," manager Charlie Manuel
said. "We've got to get better. We have to get going."
Bobby Abreu walked to start the ninth against Turnbow, and
Burrell followed with a double down the left-field line. Howard
drove in both runners with a liner off the left-field wall and
advanced to third on Jimmy Rollins' grounder, but was doubled off
the bag when David Bell lined out to third baseman Corey Koskie.
Howard initially was ruled safe, but his hand came off the base
when Koskie dove into him to make the tag.
"It was a continuous play," third-base umpire Tom Hallion
said. "In my judgment, if he had pushed him off the bag, I
wouldn't have called it."
Lidle allowed four runs and seven hits, walking a season-high
five in six innings.
"He was off with his command and the hitters worked the count
off him," Manuel said.
Lidle got plenty of help from his infielders, who turned a
double play in each of the first four innings, including one with
the bases loaded and one out in the fourth against Damian Miller.
